The New Guinea Coffee Company is a small, family owned business
We are based in the Western Highlands of Papua New Guinea, and aim to bring this incredible coffee straight from the growers to the people drinking it, with fairer pay for the communities of Papua New Guinea.
Our reality
The Western Highlands in Papua New Guinea grows some of the world’s best coffee. But given the treacherous terrain, it’s difficult to get the coffee out of the area’s remote regions.

Coffee traders often overlook this coffee entirely as it is simply considered too hard to access and many of these small, family owned plantations never deliver their coffee beyond their own local market.
We think that’s crazy, considering this is some of the best coffee in the world.

Support our community and their work
With no incentive to go the extra mile, the coffee bigwigs and middlemen stick to sourcing coffee from easier to access areas where the coffee is mixed up from various plantations.
This is the type of New Guinea coffee that you’re probably used to seeing in the ‘green bean’ market. It’s generally good quality, but rarely excellent. In fact, often it’s used as a blender, and the consumer is unaware of its origins.

That’s where we come in. The New Guinea Coffee Co was established to give coffee lovers such as yourself direct access to the best plantations, while paying the coffee growers a fairer price.
There is no middleman. We deal with the families that own the plantations, the people of the villages, and you. This means we can deliver you sensational coffee at a competitive price, without shortchanging the growers.
We’re committed to paying the coffee growers a fairer price for their coffee than what they would receive from the big coffee traders. Your subscription will not only allow you to drink the best coffee from Papua New Guinea, but you’ll also play a direct role in enhancing the lives of the children of our local village, some of whom can be seen in the picture below.
